Banyan Tree’s management brings the experience of a number of years and a number of disciplines to the company. The core team has worked together throughout the company’s operating history. We now receive the benefit of experience in fields that include banking, finance and marketing. Media disciplines include radio, television and print journalism. Despite their individual expertise, Banyan Tree’s management is multi-disciplinary and multi-functional. Each one contributes actively to all areas of the company’s operations, including content development, product sales and the development of new markets.

Chairman & Managing Director
Anish Trivedi

Anish is a former partner at the New York based investment bank, Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. where he served as the firm’s Director of Indian Research, and as Country Head for India. He has spent 15 years in the investment banking industry starting as a trader, and moving through various areas including research, mergers & acquisitions, and investment banking. Anish has been involved with radio for almost 30 years, beginning with a show at USC’s college station KSCR FM. He went on to host one of the first shows to air on India’s privatised airwaves in 1993, and has since been the breakfast show host on Radio Mid-day’s GO 92.5 FM in Mumbai. Anish has also produced and anchored for television channels like CNBC, CNN, PBS, CNNfn, Zee, Zee English and Channel V. He is a former Food Editor of Elle magazine, and writes regular columns for a number of newspapers, magazines and websites. He is also the author of two plays, both of which had a successful run on the Indian stage. A jazz and blues fanatic, Anish oversees finance and strategy at Banyan Tree. He is also actively involved in developing markets and new business for the company.

Managing Director
Dipika Roy

Dipika has worked in international marketing and product acquisition with Pierre Deux in New York, where she developed new markets for the company’s products. She worked in a number of geographic locations in that function, including the US, Europe and South East Asia. She began her radio career with National Public Radio in Boston, and has since spent almost a decade in broadcasting. She has hosted her own current affairs show on US television, and Business Plus, a daily business capsule on Doordarshan in India. Dipika is a television and stage actress and can be seen often on both platforms. She also hosts regular radio shows on terrestrial and Internet radio stations. Along with her love of musicals, Dipika oversees programming and content at Banyan Tree. She is also actively involved in marketing of the company’s products and in the development of new programming.
